With this year of the Metal White Tiger (Tiger years are: 1998, 1986, 1974, 1962, 1950, 1938, 1926 and 1914), we can expect dynamic action, drama and excitement. Quite a difference from last year’s slow and durable ox who does not challenge tradition, maintains convention and stability. But now the traditions Ox upholds are collapsing. This year everything’s big, speeded up, unspecified and wild. Things pounce and squirm and are uneasy. Tiger doesn’t like the metal around his body. His unease creates a meeting of passion and steel, a tumultuous year for everyone and everything.

Festivals

1. Spring begins Saturday, March 20th, also International Astrology Day.
2. Aries/Libra Full Moon solar festival. The first Full moon of the Three Spring Full Moon Festivals – Aries, Taurus, Gemini – occurs Monday, March 29th (9 degrees Aries/Libra), 7:25 pm (Pacific time).
3. Passover begins Tuesday, the next day.
4. Easter, the Resurrection Festival is Sunday, April 4th. Sag moon makes Easter this year a fun, joyful, food-filled, adventurous event.
5. Taurus/Scorpio Full Moon, solar festival. The Wesak Taurus Buddha Full Moon festival occurs Wednesday, April 28th (8 degrees Taurus/Scorpio), 5:19 am (Pacific time). Humanity is called to the Wesak Valley in the Himalayas for this Full Moon solar festival. We begin to prepare our crystal bowls now.
6. Gemini/Sag Full Moon, solar festival. The Festival of Humanity – Festival of the Christ, occurs Thursday, May 27th (6 degrees Gemini/Sag), 4:07 pm (Pacific time).
7. Uranus enters Aries May 27th, at the Festival of Humanity.

During the Festivals the NGWS recite the Great Invocation with “mental intensity and ardent purpose (as the Tibetan has asked the NGWS to do). Here is the Great Invocation (the Mantram of Direction for Humanity) for everyone…

The Great Invocation
From the point of light within the mind of God
Let light stream forth into the minds of men
Let light descent on earth.

From the point of Love within the Heart of God
Let Love stream forth into the hearts of men
May Christ return to Earth

From the center where the Will of God is known
Let purpose guide the little wills of men
The Purpose that the Masters know and serve.

From the center which we call the race of men
Let the Plan of Love and Light work out
And may it seal the door where evil dwells.

Let light and love and power
Restore the Plan on Earth.

Retrogrades
The retrogrades (Mercury, Mars, Saturn), many this year, calls everyone to a review and then to an active reconstruction of our world. As Spring begins Saturn (social structures) is retrograde (review all social structures and disciplines, rules and regulations) until May 29th. April 26th sees another Saturn/Uranus transits (revolution of all structures). Mercury begins another retrograde Sunday, April 18th (12:38 Taurus) till May 11th. Taurus is the illumined mind. Mercury retro calls us to review and reconsider all that we think we know, all we believe to be true, all communications, interactions and thought processes. Everything seems to halt and everyone says “no” a lot. That “no” means “Wait, I’m thinking.” We also know not to embark on important plans, not to purchase large items such as cars, homes, appliances, things expensive and important. They will end up not working correctly. During Mercury retro we attempt to communicate as best we can. NO one’s thinking clearly, except those who were born with Mercury retro. Were you?

Destroyer Aspect Removing Obstacles
Pluto (the transformer of all realities, the destroyer before the new creation) maintains its travels through Capricorn continuing for years to come (at least seventeen) in order to complete its transformations of all structures (Capricorn) on Earth. Pluto’s slow transit assures us that all things governmental, political, corporative, global and having to do with civilization and culture will slowly and inexorably (relentlessly) shift, change and transform before our very eyes. We remember that the positive aspect of the Destroyer (Pluto, Ray 1) is the removal of all obstacles hindering the Life Principles and the removal of all limitating factors that humanity has outgrown. The destruction of the old, outworn, limiting is therefore good. This is the understanding behind the esoteric words…”Love underlies the happenings of the times.” Our task therefore is to know the “real from the unreal” and to be willing to do our part in the understanding and in the needed reconstruction.

Paralleling this is year of the White Metal Tiger’s with its upheaval and chaos, furthering preparations for the new world to emerge 2012 when the Sun will be aligned with the womb of creation (Galactic Center) and a new world will be birthed with the closing of three great rhythms and cycles of time. 2010 and 2011 are therefore preparatory years.

The Challenge
And so we too must prepare and there are many ways to do so – physically, emotionally, mentally, spiritually. We are told that the energy of this year invites us to determined activity and continued follow-through. We will no longer be able to plod along, waiting for others to accomplish the needed tasks (preparation for the future). Should we begin with determination, willingness and forethought now, by the end of the year we will see many of our objectives on their way toward achievement. However, if our objectives relied on previously held beliefs and ways of doing business, those ways will most likely collapse. We are therefore challenged to think in new ways in all that we do, think, feel and act upon. And we are asked to bring forth these new ways in cooperation and together. In this way we will working toward the Evolutionary arc, that path leading humanity back to Spirit.

Uranus in Aries – Aquarian Age
Should we respond to the invitation to create all that is new, new rhythms of universal “force” will enter our lives, assisting us in the task of creating appropriate realities that respond to humanity’s (our) needs; i.e. creation and establishment of the new Aquarian culture and civilization based upon new and different (than Pisces, Aries, Taurus, etc. laws, in addition to them) cosmic laws. This “new force” is Uranus (revolution) in Aries (initiating new endeavors). Since Uranus is the ruler of Aquarius, it could be said that the outer manifestation of the Aquarian Age truly begins May 27th, 2010, at the Full Moon, Solar Festival of Gemini/Sag (6:33 degrees) at 4:07 pm, Pacific time. This Full Moon is the Festival of Humanity, when the Love from Sirius pours into the hearts and minds of all Earth’s kingdoms, setting a pathway toward the Evolutionary arc (return to Spirit) for humanity to travel upon. It is a most auspicious event, transit, time, full moon, solar festival of our times.

Gratitude – the Royal Way
Amidst the new energies available this year and the invitation to new initiating activities, there is one way that is “kingly” or “royal” that everyone can adapt. And that is constant and ceaseless gratitude and appreciation. Let us review gratitude for it is a potent releasing agent. Gratitude is the hallmark of an enlightened Soul. Gratitude is scientific in nature. Gratitude salvages soulsbrings forth deep joy, lifts others up, creates a steadfast orientation toward the Light of Life itself. Gratitude is an amulet and a talisman, creating real value that fashions true forgiveness. Gratitude liberates and sets us free. Let us therefore embark on a journey of Gratitude and together “solace a needy and suffering world.”

Mantrams
For Lent I suggested readers begin to recite mantrams, thus joining with the NGWS in purification and preparation for the Three Spring Festivals (Full moons, solar festivals of Aries -Resurrection; Taurus - Wesak; and Gemini - the Festival of Humanity. The NGWS recite esoteric mantrams throughout the year. Let us continue with the recitation of the Mantrams through the spring and summer, through autumn, and into winter solstice, In this way we will create a rhythm of unified intention (around the world) within our prayers and meditations. The Soul moves in rhythm, as do the Sun and stars and the Hierarchy.

Affirmation of the Disciple
I am a point of light within a greater Light.
I am a strand of loving energy within the stream of Love divine.
I am a point of sacrificial Fire, focused within the fiery Will of God.
And thus I stand.

I am a way by which men* may achieve.
I am a source of strength, enabling them to stand.
