Sealing the Door Where Evil
Dwells, An Appeal for Peace
In the wake of the terrorist attack on the World Trade
Center in New York and the Pentagon in Washington, DC,
the question is how can we, the mass of humanity serve
our fellow humans and how can be attempt to "seal the
door where evil dwells" (evil being acts of terrorism).
There are two profound responses we can make at this
point. On the physical level we can help the Red Cross by
providing time, blood, money. To give blood contact the
Red Cross at 1-800-448-3543. Online it's beadonor.com and
in Santa Cruz it's sccredross.org. The national Red Cross
website is redcross.org. Or contact the Red Cross in your
area.
The second, the inner spiritual response, is reciting
the "Great Invocation" a world prayer in three parts
whose purpose is to allow Light, Love, and Power to
restore what has been damaged and to seal the door where
evil dwells. During WWII, the door to evil was closed but
it was not sealed. The crisis upon America at this time
calls forth a united effort on the part of humanity to
remain centered, which counteracts fear (the energy
terrorists hope to create), to link together and work
from the still, quiet center of the mind where healing
can occur.
Maintaining this prayerful meditative focus by using
the "Great Invocation" allows our energies to be made
available for the injured, the recently deceased, and the
families involved. Saying the "Great Invocation" also
calls upon the Hierarchy (those who oversee our
development), the Christ (the World Teacher for all
religions), and the angelic forces to aid those in need.
In this way we ask that the Plan of Love and Light work
out, transferring the power from the Forces of
Materialism (behind the attacks) to the forces of Light
(whose purpose is Peace).
Our immediate task is the reestablishment of Right
Human Relations within ourselves. This we must see as our
responsibility. Whenever there is a withering of the Law
and an uprising of lawlessness there must be a first
establishing of a greater Law. Reciting the "Great
Invocation" calls down spiritual laws of Light
(information), Love (unity in the face of terrorism and
separativeness), and Power (appropriate response) and is
the greatest method of integration linking the Creator
with humanity. This is no idle dream. WWII ended because
the mass of humanity conveyed such a longing and appeal
for peace that the Hierarchy was able to step in, aid the
Allies, and cease the war. We must call upon these
greater energies once again and direct our service in a
practical, spiritual way and with great potency. This we
can do through reciting the "Great Invocation".
We are in an initiation (there are five major ones).
Initiations are times of crisis for humanity. Turmoil,
chaos, and upheaval in all sectors of life is part of the
process of Initiation. The use of the "Great Invocation"
harmonizes the crisis and provides us with the strength
to endure.
The Great Invocation
From the Point of Light within the Mind of God
Let Light stream forth into the minds of men.
Let Light descend on Earth.

From the point of Love within the Heart of God
Let Love stream forth into the hearts of men.
May Christ return to Earth.

From the center where the Will of God in known
Let purpose guide the little wills of men --
The purpose which the Masters know and serve.

From the center which we call the race of men
Let the Plan of Love and Light work out
And may it seal the door where evil dwells.
