The Law of Service: the 3rd Law
of the Soul* &
Abraham Lincoln, Aquarian Avatar Who Served Humanity's
Call for Freedom
By Risa D'Angeles
Abraham Lincoln, the ship "The
Abraham Lincoln naval carrier (ship) was dispatched
December 26, 2004, to provide clean and safe water for
those devastated by the December 26th earthquakes and
tsunamis in the Indian Ocean."
Abraham Lincoln, the Man
Abraham Lincoln (the man) was the 16th president of
the United States and being born February 12th, was an
Aquarian. The keynote for Aquarius is, "waters of life
poured forth for thirsty humanity." Abraham Lincoln (the
man) is esoterically considered to have been an Avatar,
one who, through his service as leader of our nation,
held the promise of freedom (thus he "freed" the slaves)
for humanity -- a promise that manifests with greater and
greater inclusions according to the needs and wishes of
humanity should they call it forth. The "waters of
Aquarius" contain the seeds of the new culture and
civilization that emerges in the Aquarian Age. Before
that new culture and civilization (Ray 7) can come forth,
the old ways, culture, and civilization (Ray 6) as we
have known them must be shattered.
Waters of Life
The "waters" (nourishment) of Aquarius signify the
Soul. The "waters" actually come from the administrations
of the Soul to the personality. The Soul has seven laws.
The 3rd Law of the Soul is the Law of Service. It is this
Law that governs all Soul activity. The Law of Service
has another name and is referred to as the "Law of water
and the fishes." Graphically Aquarius is a man/woman with
a pot of water on his/her shoulders. This water is being
poured forth from the heavens and these waters quench
humanity's thirst. The outpouring energy of these waters
"vivify life."
Ability to Serve
The ability to serve marks a definite stage of
advancement upon the Path for humanity. Until that stage
of service is reached, service that is given in love and
guided by wisdom, in not known. Prior to this stage (of
service) humanity has only good intention, mixed motives,
and often displays fanaticism.
Law of Service is Imposed Upon
Us
The Law of Service is imposed upon humanity from the
sign Aquarius, the sign following Capricorn (the
Initiate). Aquarius is the sign of the World Server.
Pisces follows Aquarius and is the sign of the World
Savior. Note the sequences. As humanity is steadily
moving deeper into the Age of Aquarius, the Aquarian
impulse to serve becomes more effective, more pronounced
and more activated. In its highest level of manifesting
the Law of Service we have the Hierarchy serving humanity
and all the kingdoms on Earth. Between the extreme of not
yet being on the Path of Service and that of the
Hierarchy's deep assistance we have the New Group of
World Servers and men and women of Goodwill everywhere
seeking to assist those in need.
Christ as First Expression of
the Law of Service
The first time this Law of Service was fully
expressed was two thousand years ago when the Christ,
forerunner of the Aquarian Age, spoke to the multitude
with the identifying (code) words, "I am the water of
life, the living waters," which men need/ed (to dispel
the darkness that lay around the Earth). It is because
the Christ came during the sign of Pisces (water sign,
sign of the fish) and first articulated this Law during
that time that we call this law that of "water and
fishes." The Piscean Age, introduced to the Law of
Service, slowly and progressively prepared the Way for
the Divine Expression of Service, which we see today. The
Christ gave humanity during the Piscean Age, the Law of
Love, which superceded (and added to) the Aries Ten
Commandments. The Law of Love needs an outlet and the
outlet for (release of) Love is Service. Humanity, at
this time, is only beginning to understand service. Often
it is presented as a burden, involving sacrifice and hard
work, deliberate effort, conscious wisdom, and the
ability to serve and work without attachment.
Service is an Evolutionary
Process
It is part of our evolutionary process to learn to
serve because service is the Will of the Great Life who
informs the constellation Aquarius (just as our solar
Logos -- the Sun -- informs our solar system and our
planetary Logos -- Sanat Kumara -- informs our planet
Earth. The most important idea to be grasped at this time
is the Law of Service expresses through us the energy of
a Great Life" in Whom we live and move and have our
being."
This Being (in Whom we live and
move and have our beingness) is presently subjecting
humanity to certain great influences and streams of
energy which will eventually achieve, accomplish and
bring about three activities within humanity:
1. Awaken the heart center in all
aspirants and disciples;
2. Enable emotionally polarized humanity to focus
intelligently in the mind; and
3. Transfer the energy of the solar plexus into the
heart.
Group Awareness
This unfolding of the "consciousness of the heart" or
"development of true feeling" is the first step toward
group awareness. And group awareness is one of the
primary goals of Aquarius (sign and Age). It is group
awareness and an identification with the feeling aspect
of all groups that leads us to serve -- which is the same
service the Masters give to humanity and to the Christ
and what Christ demonstrated to and for us in Galilee
over two thousand years ago.
Humanity Responds to Aquarian
Influences -- Emotionally & Mentally
Therefore we can say that the service we see today is
due to the responses of humanity to the new Aquarian
influences and this influence is being registered first
in the astral body (emotional body) and solar plexus. It
is an emotional response. This accounts for the
perplexing hatred engendered by those who react
sensitively to suffering and who, because of their
emotional (astral/solar plexus) identification with
suffering, lay the blame for the distressing conditions
encountered, upon a person or a group of persons. When
humanity responds in this emotional way, there is often a
generally unsatisfactory nature to the service being
rendered to relieve conditions. It is "unsatisfactory"
from the higher angle of the Soul. (We can see this
response as a reaction when we hear words of judgment
and/or blame that President Bush and/or other governments
are not coming to the aid of the quake victims in a
timely manner. This same reaction can be heard in the
language of the extreme political left.)
But there is another type of
service rendered and it is based upon a mental response
to humanity's need. When one bases service on a mental,
intelligent response then the problems are "lifted out of
the veil of illusion" and "out of the valley of the world
glamour." Then the willingness to serve is registered in
the heart center (not in the emotional solar plexus) and
the service rendered is more successful.
Right Foundations &
Questions
The Tibetan states (page 123, Esoteric Psychology II)
that he seeks to be very practical concerning the Science
of Service because this 3rd Law of the Soul must be based
on "right foundations" and on sound understandings. He
formulates certain questions (page 124), for us to answer
so that we can more consciously and fully understand the
theme of Service:
1. How do we define the word
"service"?
2. What is the field of this science and why do we
call it a science?
3. What are the characteristics of the true server?
4. What effect does service have: a) on the
mind? b)on the emotions? c) on the etheric
body?
5. Does this science prove that the seven key or ray
types employ distinctive methods in their service?
The Tibetan hopes the answers to
these questions enable us to:
1. Show that service is not a sentiment or an idea,
but an effect and a scientific procedure at the same
time.
2. Indicate the need today for right understanding of
a technique that, when applied by the NGWS, will lead
humanity into the world of true meaning and of real
values. And it will show how the NGWS will work.
3. Give some idea of how certain groups of Masters of
the Wisdom serve upon our planet at this time.
Some Answers (from the Tibetan)
Defining Service
The Tibetan states that a definition of service in
not easy as it is often defined from the level of
personality (not Soul) knowledge. Esoterically,
therefore, "service" is defined (from the Soul level) "as
the spontaneous effect of Soul contact." And that this
"Soul contact" is so definite and fixed that the life of
the Soul can pour through" the personality and thus
affect (bring light and information to) the physical
planes of life.
The Tibetan continues with the
statements that "service is not a quality or a
performance; it is not an activity towards which people
must strenuously strive, nor is it a method of world
salvage." There is a distinction here that must be
clearly understood "or else our whole attitude to service
(a momentous demonstration of the success of the
evolutionary impetus of the Soul) will be at fault.
"Service is a Life (Ray 1)
demonstration. Service is a Soul (Ray 2) urge. Service is
as much an evolutionary impetus of the Soul as the urge
to self-preservation or species reproduction is to the
animal soul/world. Service is a soul "instinct"
(inadequate expression) and is, therefore, innate and
peculiar to Soul unfoldment. Service is the outstanding
characteristic of the Soul, just as desire is the
outstanding characteristic of the emotional nature.
Service is concerned with the group, just as in the
lower, emotional nature, we have personality concerned
with the desires of self. Service is the urge to group
good. Service therefore cannot be taught or imposed upon
a person. Service does not come from without, and is not
a theory. Neither theory nor aspiration will or can make
a person a real server. Service is simply the first real
effect, evidenced upon the physical plane in form and
matter, of the fact of the Soul beginning to express
itself in outer manifestation.
How is it that there is so much
activity in service demonstrating in the world today?
Because the Life, words, and deeds of the world's first
Great Server, of the One Who came to make clear to us
what service essentially is, has had an effect on us and
humanity is earnestly attempting to imitate His example.
And thus humanity, the world disciple in training, grows
in possibility.
The Laws Manifest in Two
Ways
All these laws of the Soul (and the Law of Service
specifically) manifest in two ways:
1. The effect on the individual;
and
2. A group effect of service within humanity
itself.
Concerning the individual, when the
Soul has been definitely contacted the mechanism of the
Soul begins to respond. This response can be seen as the
aspiration and activity of service. Concerning the group
effect in humanity, the race of men (entire group of
humanity) is being affected in that humanity is
reflecting in their lwoer nature a higher state of
consciousness. The entire philanthropic effort we see
today reflects this group awareness of the Soul and it's
ability to serve.
As the naval carrier Abraham
Lincoln continues to serve, in air and on land and sea,
those who were hit by the earthquakes and tsunami's in
the Indian ocean, and as humanity continues to ask "how
can we help?" we turn to the Ageless Wisdom information
(esoteric) to help us understand the interior realities
behind service. The following are from newspapers and
websites:
The Naval Ship Abraham
Lincoln
(Source: http://www.cvn72.navy.mil/ )
From In the wake of the tsunami that devastated
coastlines along the Indian Ocean, naval ship USS Abraham
Lincoln (CVN 72) and it's carrier strike group have been
ordered by the Commander, U.S. Seventh fleet to sail to
the region to assist. The change in Lincoln's sailing
orders has presented unique challenges, not only in the
areas of logistics and supply, but for the ship's
Navigation department as well.
As Sailors across the Abraham
Lincoln Carrier Strike Group (ALCSG) prepare for
humanitarian efforts in the wake of Southeast Asia's
earthquake-born tsunami Dec. 26, one group is getting
ready in a different way. Helicopter Anti-Submarine
Squadron Two's (HS-2) Search and Rescue (SAR) swimmers
are training to do anything and everything they possibly
can for the tens of thousands of people victimized in the
ravaged region.

USS Abraham Lincoln(CVN 72) is America's fifth
Nimitz-class aircraft carrier. The ship was named in
honor of our nation's 16th president and is the second
ship in the U.S. Navy to bear his name. The ballistic
missile submarine Abraham Lincoln (SSBN 602) was in
service 1961-81. Abraham Lincoln's keel was laid Nov. 3,
1984 at Newport News, VA. Four years later the ship was
christened and began a series of performance trials
leading up to commissioning Nov. 11, 1989 at Norfolk, VA.
Andaman/Indian Ocean Tsunami
Relief
USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72) Carrier Strike Group was
dispatched to provide support to humanitarian relief
operations following the devastation caused by the
December 26, 2004 Asian Tsunamis. USS Abraham Lincoln
reached the Java Sea on 30 December 2004. The Abraham
Lincoln's surgical wards, engineering and construction
capabilities, in addition to water purification equipment
and helicopters were expected to provide much-needed
assistance in relief operations, but also search and
rescue missions as well as the ferrying of needed
supplies to disaster areas.
Abraham Lincoln
Abraham Lincoln was born February 12, 1809, in a log
cabin near Hodgenville, Kentucky. His mother, Nancy Hanks
Lincoln, died in 1818, and his stepmother, Sarah Bush
Johnson, inspired the ambitious but unschooled boy to
discipline and educate himself. The legendary stories of
Lincoln reading by firelight enabled him to overcome a
very limited formal education to become one of the
greatest statesman this country has ever known.
By 1830, the Lincoln family had
moved to Illinois. Following two trips to New Orleans on
a flatboat, Lincoln settled in New Salem, Illinois, and
held down modest jobs while studying law on his own. In
1835, he entered the Illinois State legislature, where he
served four terms. His political career led him to the
U.S. House of Representatives in 1847, but it was his
eloquently stated antislavery views, expressed during his
famous senatorial debates with Stephen Douglas, which
gained Lincoln a national following.
In 1860, Abraham Lincoln received
the presidential nomination of the new antislavery
Republican Party. Although he had stated a willingness to
tolerate slavery where it existed, Lincoln's election as
the 16th president of the United States on November 6,
1860 precipitated the secession of the southern states
and the formation of the Confederacy.
In the years of the civil war that
followed, the inexperienced Lincoln proved to be one of
the most extraordinary political and moral leaders the
nation has ever seen. He first defined the war as a fight
over secession rather than slavery. However, when the
time was right, Lincoln announced the Emancipation
Proclamation (Sept. 1862), turning the war into a crusade
against slavery. With his immortal Gettysburg Address,
Lincoln further defined the war as a struggle for the
preservation of the democratic idea, defined by a
"government of the people, by the people, for the
people."
Abraham Lincoln served his country
during one of its most bloody and trying times. As
Commander in Chief, the victory of the Union over the
confederacy was his, and he had every right to treat the
southern states with malice and contempt. Instead, he
treated them with dignity and honor, gladly accepting
their return to the union. He did not view them as
enemies, but as brothers. He did not exalt in their
defeat, but glorified that the nation "Shall not perish."
Abraham Lincoln will be forever
remembered for his vital role as the leader who preserved
the Union and began a process that led to the end of
slavery in the United States. Master of both biblical
eloquence and a homespun vernacular, and a natural at
combining practical politics with moral principals, in
just four short years as president, Abraham Lincoln
established why he is one of the few Americans who truly
"belongs to the ages."

Khul, we find the 3rd Law of the Soul, the Law of
